The Villa's of Huskisson

I recently visited the Villas of Huskisson, 3 brand new beach holiday properties located in the heart of Huskisson, Jervis Bay. Below I have shared some of the details from the deluxe villa. When designing the villas they were very conscious of keeping true to the original house which is why you see a mix of repurposed weatherboard on the facade. Kaine and Kirsty's Kiama Wedding

When I was first contacted by Kaine and Kirsty to photograph their Kiama wedding I jumped at the opportunity because I love photographing weddings by the sea.

This fun-loving couple tied the knot in front of their nearest and dearest in the Bonaira Native Gardens. They said their I do’s in a garden ceremony in front of an arbour full of stunning flowers by Lexie V Floral. Following their nuptials, they set off for bridal party portraits on Saddleback Mountain and then onto the Kiama Harbour precinct. The reception was a whole heap of fun, with hilarious speeches and a jam-packed dance floor.

For me there were two highlights at Kaine and Kirsty’s wedding, the first, an emotional dress reveal with the bridesmaids and the mother of the bride. The second, watching Kaine and Kirsty’s son Nate looking on as his parents celebrated their marriage.

You could tell a lot of planning went into their big day and Kirsty’s attention to detail was second to none. Here are some of the highlights!

Jack and Abbey's Berry Wedding

In the weeks leading up to Jack and Abbey’s wedding, there were moments that had me thinking it may have been called off. This couple had their big day on the 4th of January, amid the unprecedented fire emergency that hit the South Coast. What became apparent to me on their big day was just how strong their bond truly is. They did not care that it was 45 degrees or that they had to change their ceremony location last minute, all they cared about was that they were marrying their soul mate.

Jordan and Lisette's Wedding at Bendooley Estate

It’s always exciting when you receive a request to shoot a wedding at one of your favorite venues, and that’s exactly how I felt when Jordan reached out. Jordan and Lisette got married on the 2nd of January at Bendooley Estate with their closest friends and family. The couple had an intimate afternoon ceremony in the stunning gardens and they danced the night away in the Book Barn. They spent the day being so present that every single moment was one to cherish. The couple focused on their family as much as their marriage and that in itself was so special.

Nadeesh and Madhuka's Engagement Session

Meet Nadeesh and Madhuka, two of my clients who are getting married in May. With a garden wedding planned at Jaspers in Berry the couple decided to do something different for their engagement shoot, a beach session. We met up at The Pavilion in Wollongong and took a stroll along the sand, taking advantage of the afternoon light. After having the chance to get to know the couple and seeing just how in the love they are I cannot wait to be part of their wedding.

My 2019 working year ended at the Novotel in North Wollongong. I was photographing Blake and Lauren’s wedding out on the deck overlooking North Beach. Early in the planning, this couple had warned me that they are awkward having their picture taken, on the day this was not the case. Blake and Lauren were so relaxed and happy celebrating their marriage that there were many moments they forgot I was there alongside documenting the day. I had such a great time getting to know this couple and I loved having the opportunity to celebrate with them.

Jonathon and Sarah had a really fun wedding full of love and laughter. These two make an adorable couple and capturing their big day was so enjoyable. I spent a full day with the couple, from getting ready right through to cutting the cake and hitting the dance floor. We were spoilt with stunning locations around the vineyard to take the portraits. Olly and Amanda's Wedding at Worrowing

Oliver and Amanda chose to host their wedding at Worrowing Estate and I was honoured to be asked to photograph their big day. They wanted to a day that allowed them to spend as much time with friends and family so they picked a venue that could accommodate the ceremony and reception. Following a round of congratulatory hugs, they went off with their bridal party to Greenfield’s Beach in Jervis Bay for some portraits. The evening was spent dancing under the festoon lights with good food, good music and in good company.

BJ and Lisa's Wollongong Wedding

Bj and Lisa tied the knot last month on Flagstaff Hill infront of the iconic lighthouse, surrounded by one hundred family and friends who had travelled all over to celebrate with the couple. Following the afternoon ceremony the bridal party strolled around the Wollongong Harbour precinct for some portraits. Their reception was held at the City Beach Function Centre, a stunning venue with oceanfront views. Guests were entertained with lots of food, drinks, dancing and personal speeches. What I liked most about this wedding was the inclusion of their children in the whole day, it was so nice to see how loving they all were to one another. Congratulations on your marriage and all the best with the arrival of your little one in the new year.

Penny and Ben's Mollymook Wedding

I have no idea how these busy parents managed to pull off planning a wedding while raising twin toddlers, but they did! Having met Ben and Penny a couple of years ago for their maternity shoot and again for some engagement photos, it was nice to meet up once again to celebrate another massive milestone.

Ben and Penny had an afternoon ceremony in Milton and the celebrations continued late into the evening at The Mollymook Golf Club. It was so special seeing this couple get married with their boys included in the whole wedding. Congratulations to you both, it was a great day!

Family Session at Chinamans Beach

Dani’s family get together once every four years, so capturing some family photos for them was extra special. Having travelled from the US and Switzerland it was so nice to show this family some of our beautiful Jervis Bay. Here are a few of my favourites from our morning together.

Jon-Paul and Corinne's Kyle Bay Wedding

JP and Corinne could not have asked for a better day for their wedding. After a morning of pampering with her bridesmaids, Corinne joined JP for an intimate ceremony conducted by her stepsister Ingrid. Both the ceremony and the reception were held at The Kyle Bay, a beautiful Sydney waterfront venue. The couple didn’t have to go far for their portraits which meant more time celebrating with their nearest and dearest. After the formalities were over it was time to hit the dance floor for this fun-loving couple.

Berrara Air BNB

Photographed below are some of the photos I captured for a local holiday home in Berrara, NSW. This immaculate airbnb listing is a two storey self contained bungalow only one minute from the lagoon and beach. This property comfortably sleeps four people and has a large private backyard and outdoor fireplace.

Thomas and Laura's Wedding

Thomas and Laura got married on the 16th of November at St Michael’s Catholic Church in Nowra, NSW. Following their ceremony, they were joined by friends and family for a smoking ceremony. This is an Aboriginal custom where native plants are burnt to ward off bad spirits. This was my first time experiencing this and I found it so interesting. The bridal party made their way to Gerringong for some bridal portraits before heading to the Mercure for a night on the dance floor. Congratulations Thomas and Laura, I loved celebrating your marriage with you both and your beautiful family.

I was honoured to be asked to photograph the wedding of Eddison and Mia. The couple got married on the 15th of November at St Mary’s Star of the Sea, a gorgeous Catholic Church in Milton, NSW. Following their emotional ceremony the two joined their friends and family for a sit-down reception at Cupitt’s winery. Cupitt’s Winery is a stand-out venue on the South Coast for weddings as there are so many options for photos with the boutique winery, restaurant, cellar and vineyards.

The Duncan Family in Jervis Bay

I had a great time meeting The Duncan family earlier this month. This little family wanted to document their son’s first birthday and what better way to celebrate the occasion than with some family photos, some presents and a morning at the beach. Happy Birthday William!

Pia and Angela at Terara Riverside Gardens

Earlier this month I was lucky enough to team up with some of the most talented vendors from Sydney, The Sutherland Shire and South Coast of NSW to work on a bridal collaboration. This Moroccan inspired shoot was set up in the exquisite gardens at Terara Riverside.

This shoot surely was a day to remember. Unbeknown to one another the two brides had planned to propose during the first look. This was the most heartfelt double proposal, bringing a tear to the eye of all the vendors watching on.

This shoot was truly was unforgettable, I feel truly lucky to have witnessed such a beautiful moment. Congratulations Pia and Angela, you deserve every happiness.
