Jarrod and Laura's Wedding at Dovecote

On the 29th of May I photographed my first wedding at Dovecote, an awe-inspiring south coast property with unsurpassed views of the ocean and rural Australian landscape. Together with their families, Jarrod and Laura celebrated their marriage with an intimate ceremony followed by portraits on the property and a private dining experience. I loved hearing about the couple and listening to the vows they made for their future together. Congratulations Jarrod and Laura, I am so happy for you both.

Lachlan and Ashleigh's Wedding

Lachlan and Ashleigh were married on the 22nd of May at St John The Evangelist Catholic Church in Dapto. I met up with Ashleigh before the ceremony to take photos of her with her bridesmaids getting ready. Once the ceremony ended we explored the Illawarra escarpment to take photos in the bushland at the bottom of Mount Kembla. The Reception was held at the Lagoon Restaurant in Dapto, and it was so much fun with inside fireworks and a choreographed first dance.

I had the best time getting to know this couple and I really felt a warm hospitality from the bride and groom who were constantly checking in with me to make sure I was being catered for. Thank you for choosing me to capture your day and a big congratulations on your marriage!

Kobi Turns One

The last time I caught up with Nathan and Kristen it was for their wedding in Jervis Bay. This time, they were celebrating their daughter Kobi’s first birthday. They wanted some family photos to remember her special day so we met up in The Australian Botanic Garden’s with her grandparents to all watch her smash a cake. Happy birthday Kobi, you are too sweet!

Robert and Courtney's Engagement Shoot at The Cove

During their stay at The Cove Jervis Bay, Robert and Courtney organised to have their engagement photos taken. The Cove Jervis Bay offers boutique beach side accomodation located in Booderee National Park which meant they could bring their daughter Alyssa and stay for the weekend. Having spent the morning together I am so excited to return to this stunning venue to capture their wedding.

Pamela and Sean - Narrawalle Beach Session

So you guys know I spend my weekends shooting weddings, well this is what I get up to mid week - family sessions. Today I am sharing some of my favourite photos from my recent shoot with Sean and Pamela down at beautiful Narrawallee. We spent the morning exploring both the beach and the surrounding bushland with their daughter Indie May. What a lovely little family they have.

The Middleton Family

If your family is one that loves the outdoors I suggest capturing them enjoying special moments in natural surrounds. I am based on the south coast and the family photos I am sharing today were taken at Blenheim Beach in Jervis Bay. Lea and I had been in contact and were both concerned about the rain forecast, however luck was on our side and it was a perfect afternoon.

Nest Residential Design - New Location

Over the last couple of years, I have worked closely with the team at Nest Residential Design to create content for their building design and drafting business. Our latest shoot took place at their new office which is located at 56 Worrigee Street, Nowra. The owners wanted updated photos of their new space and their growing team. While their address has changed, their ability to understand and interpret their client’s needs remains the same. Collectively the team at Nest have almost 100 years experience in building design and drafting.

Nathan and Megan's Huskisson Wedding

On the 8th of May 2021 Nathan and Megan celebrated their marriage at the Husky Sports Club in a ceremony officiated by Narelle Murray. They spent the morning apart and Nathan first laid eyes on his bride when she made her way down the aisle, escorted by her father John who gave her away. Their wedding focused on family and they made sure to include their children in the bridal party, with Nathan's son as the bestman, Nathan's eldest daughter as a bridesmaid and Nathan's younger daughter as their flowergirl. Before joing their guest for an afternoon reception they explored the surrounding bushland for some bridal portraits. Congratulations Nathan and Megan on your marriage.

Simon and Kaila's Numbaa Wedding

Today on the blog I am sharing the highlights from Simon and Kaila’s wedding in Numbaa. If you have been following me for a while now you would know I go to a lot of weddings. Well there was something different about this wedding, from the minute I met Simon and Kaila they felt like old friends. They are the type of people that introduce you with warmth, and make you feel like you’ve known them for a lifetime. They are kind and friendly, and their happiness is infectious. They were easy going and made my job as a wedding photographer so enjoyable.

Simon and Kaila tied the knot on the 1st of May overlooking the Shoalhaven River. Following their nuptials they mingled with their guests before ducking away for some sunset portraits. They celebrated with their friends and family in a marquee on the riverside property. The day was perfect and it reminded me exactly why I love my job. Enjoy your highlights newlyweds!

The Borghi Family

I photographed this beautiful Autumn beach session earlier this month for the Borghi family. Mel decided she wanted her photos taken in Jervis Bay so we agreed on Greenfields Beach in Vincentia. With the sun setting earlier we were able to catch some of the golden hour which made for some awesome shots. The kids had lots of fun exploring the beach and climbing the surrounding trees. Here are the highlights.

Jack and Kirstin's Wedding at Merribee

Today on the blog I am sharing a wedding that was extra special to me, as I have been mates with the groom for years. Jack and Kirstin celebrated their marriage on the 30th of April at Merribee Gardens, a beautiful country estate on the NSW South Coast.

My day started in Sussex Inlet at Jack’s parents home where he was getting ready with his family and groomsmen. I then made my way to the grounds of Merribee where Kirstin was being pampered with her bridesmaids ahead of the big day. Before long it was time for Kirstin to make her way through the property to the rose garden field where she would finally marry her best friend. When Jack looked at his bride his eyes watered, and you could really feel the love. During their ceremony they shared vows which they wrote themselves, they joked about the way they met and made promises for their future. At the conclusion of the ceremony we explored the venue for some afternoon portraits. We finished up the photos right as the sun set, and the couple made their way into the barn for the celebration to kick into gear.

Kirstin’s attention to detail was second to none throughout the day, and these two really know how to throw a party! Thank you for sharing your biggest celebration yet, enjoy your highlights.

Holmes Building Currarong Project

Earlier this month I photographed a recent renovation project in Currarong by Holmes Building. Holmes Building was established by Darren Holmes in 2011 and is known for its quality homes with high attention to detail. ​ When you work with their south coast team, they make it their goal to give you the flexibility and communication needed to make the very best decision throughout the building process.

Amber and Damien's Newborn Session

After a year of trying, Amber and Damo’s dreams came true with a positive pregnancy test. Fast forward nine months and they welcomed their first child into the world, a beautiful baby girl who they named Annie Mae Tierney. She arrived on Tuesday the 11th of May and already has so many people wrapped around her teeny tiny finger. I felt so honoured to be invited into the Tierney home to capture some memories for their now family of three. Congratulations to you both!

Emma and Liam's Jervis Bay Engagement Session

It’s no secret that I love documenting couples who are in love! Engagement sessions are a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera ahead of your wedding day, plus what an exciting time in your lives to capture. Living on the south coast means I’ve shot my fair share of beach shoots, but it’s no coincidence I actually suggest this location to most of my clients. When I recommend we go to Jervis Bay it’s because I am confident we will get white sand, clear waters and a lot of space to roam. Liam and Emma agreed to have their photos taken at Greenfield’s Beach in Vincentia, and I’m so glad they did because we got one epic sunset.

Amber and Andrew's Kiama Wedding

Today we are taking a look at the highlights from Amber and Andrew’s coastal wedding. These two had their ceremony on the 24th of April 2021 at Kiama Anglican Church. They spent the morning apart, which made seeing each other at the end of aisle even more special. We had a beautiful sunset for the bridal party portraits before making our way to the Sebel in Kiama for a night of hilarious speeches and dancing. We loved seeing how these parents made sure to include their children throughout the entire day. Congratulations Mr and Mrs Spinelli!

Simon and Caitlin's Wedding at The Woods Farm

On the 19th of April I spent the day photographing the wedding of Simon and Caitlin. These two decided to get ready in two of the quirky farm houses on site at The Woods Farm before making their way to the rustic bush chapel for an intimate wedding surrounded by Jervis Bay bushland. After the ceremony, I joined the newlyweds for some afternoon portraits - we didn’t have to go far as this country retreat has so many stunning spots for photos. When we got back to the wedding shed, the party really kicked off. A highlight of the night was listening to the groom’s son and best man roast his dad. I have never laughed so hard during a speech.

Nest Residential Design - Upper Kangaroo Valley Project

Nest Residential thoughtfully designed this entire property to capture the beauty of the natural surrounds. Together with the owners, Nest Residential imagined a space that was both calming and peaceful. This incredible light filled oasis was built built by local construction company Harlor Building.

John and Hayley's Dungowan Estate Wedding

On the 17th of April 2021 John and Hayley became the new Mr and Mrs Ball. Hayley spent the morning preparing for the day with her immediate family and reminiscing over how the two met at the local races. John spent the morning with his best man Rob and his two sons, nervously waiting for the ceremony. He instantly felt at ease when Hayley approached the aisle with her father. The ceremony perfectly reflected the couple - their shared values of family and the fun times they have together. We didn’t have to go far for the portraits because the couple had hired Dungowan Estate - an incredible property with beautiful backdrops at every turn. Once the photos were finished they made their way to Hayley’s family property for a sit-down wedding in a marquee followed by a night where the dance floor was full and the drinks were flowing. We had a ball at this wedding and feel honoured to be part of such a special day.
