The Homestead Berry

Over the weekend I had the pleasure of photographing The Homestead as part of the South Coast wedding trail. The Homestead is the quintessential venue for your perfect Berry wedding. Set against a backdrop of rolling green hills and boasting a stunning rural outlook, this 5 acre property provides everything you need for an incredible celebration for up to 120 guests.

Their wedding packages include exclusive use of The Homestead including the luxury guest accommodation which fits up to 10 people, and the extensive grounds, to ensure their couples can make the most of this incredibly special time with family and friends.

Out of all the properties on the south coast, The Homestead is my most booked venue for 2023 which means you will be seeing a lot more of this country gem soon!

Josh and Fiona's Wedding at The Growers

Having grown up on the NSW South Coast, Josh and Fiona knew they wanted to tie the knot where coast meets country and where better than The Growers.

These two said their “I do’s” in an intimate ceremony officiated by Adam Straney and witnessed by some of their closest family members. This romantic garden wedding was made even more beautiful with it’s ethereal florals by Lily Ever After and the surrounding rural setting of the venue. Every detail, including the groom’s sharp grey suit and the brides lace full-length gown were beautifully thought out.

In the lead-up to the wedding heavy rain was forecast, but that did not seem to stress the couple, instead just made them adapt to new plans and welcome the wedding rain, hail or shine.

I felt so honoured to photograph this special ceremony and be part of such a special chapter in the couples life. Congratulations Josh and Fi, and all the best with married life and your next chapter as a family.

Rhiannon and Jarrad's Bangalay Wedding

Picture this: tying the knot on the idyllic South Coast at Bangalay, nestled between the Shoalhaven Heads Golf Course and Seven Mile Beach National Park. Sounds perfect doesn’t it? That’s exactly where Jarrad and Rhiannon got married last month and it was dreamy!

When these two began planning their wedding they knew they wanted to find a venue that could accomodate their massive bridal party, and loving friends and family.

This couple wanted their wedding to be lots of fun, which is why they were sure to include a pit stop back to the beach house for some hilarious drinking games before entering the reception showered in confetti.

Here are some of my favourite moments from the day.

Family Session at Tomakin Beach

It feels like my family sessions are few and far between as most weekends I am photographing weddings. As a father, family sessions are some of my favourite because I know how meaningful the photos become as the kids get older and the moments pass us by.

I met up with Kelsey and her family at Tomakin Beach, a coastal town that is sentimental to them. The kids had fun exploring the beach and climbing the rocks while the parents just enjoyed the time spent together. Here are some of the highlights from the morning.

Daniel and Jo's Shoal Bay Wedding

On the 9th of July we photographed the wedding of Daniel and Jo, who had to postpone during the pandemic. These two spent the morning with their own side of the bridal party at Salt before making their way to Dutchmans Reserve on the Famous Newcastle Tram to tie the knot. Surrounded by friends and family they exchanged vows, and rings and took a trip down memory lane of their life together. Their marriage was officiated by Jess Mutch, in a romantic ceremony that overlooked the ocean.

Once married they hopped back on the tram and made their way to the beach for some sunset portraits together. Before long, they were back with their guests at The Shoal Bay Country Club with charged glasses eager to hit the dance floor.

Thank you guys for having us photograph the wedding of the year, what fun!

Jason and Angela's Seacliff House Wedding

On the 11th of July 2022 Jason and Angela became husband and wife at St Mary Star of the Sea in Gerringong, NSW.

Red statement florals with rustic styling—this was the unique vision the couple had for their Seacliff House wedding. Jason and Angela, with the help of the brides mother, transformed the barn into the wedding venue of their dreams.

Confetti cannons are synonymous with a good time and that’s how the couple entered their reception, it really set the party mood for the entire evening. They had arranged their guests to be seated in long banquet tables which allowed plenty of space for the dance floor - which was the highlight of the night.

This unique wedding had so much fun and charm, that collided in the most perfect way. I have been dying to share the highlights of their special day because it truly was a celebration to remember!

Hayden and Hannah's Wedding at The Cove Jervis Bay

Spectacular views over Jervis Bay, a modern coastal wedding hall and stunning florals - Hayden and Hannah’s picture perfect wedding at The Cove will have you swept off your feet. Captivated by the boutique beach side wedding venue, the couple wanted to celebrate their marriage with a party that didn’t have to end. They chose to hire the entire resort which played host for the two day event. With the help of The Wedding and Event Creators this couple pulled off the coastal wedding of their dreams.

The couple exchanged vows in an outdoor ceremony overlooking the ocean with their own private beach before heading into the surrounding national park for afternoon portraits. As the sun began to set they made their way back to the reception which was dripping in florals and glowing from their neon light. There was a sense of relief once the formalities ended that they could sit back and enjoy the celebration.

James and Yana's Wedding

Over the past few years lots of couples have tied the knot in intimate ceremonies and hit pause on the party until the time came that the restrictions were lifted and they could celebrate with all their friends and family. For James and Yana, they knew love couldn’t wait but their reception could.

We started the day at The Fullerton, a luxury five star hotel steeped in character and elegance. From there, we head off around the Sydney CBD for some gorgeous portraits of the bride and groom before making our way to the Freedom Hub which is a unique and stunning warehouse event space located in Sydney's inner city suburb of Waterloo. It’s here that the energy really picked up and you could feel the fun party vibe.

From the first look that could bring tears to the eye, to the portraits in the streets of Sydney, this one is sure to inspire anyone looking for city wedding inspiration.

A belated congratulations to this fun loving married couple!

Ben and Shannon's Woods Farm Wedding

Picture a luxury country wedding venue located on 40 acres with a bush chapel filled with stunning chandeliers, a wedding shed with floral installations on the ceiling, all your farmyard friends and a field of glamping tents. Then add beautiful florals, a stunning bride and all your closest friends and family who have waiting an extra two years to celebrate with you. The two contrasting styles of glamorous and rustic came together perfectly for Ben and Shannon’s wedding at The Woods Farm.

Ben and Shannon, with the help of event planner Brittany Booth created a celebration that was uniquely beautiful and certainly worth the wait. The couple exchanged their vows in a personalised ceremony written by the brides dear friend and presented by Shoshanna Vernham. Once married they had some portraits around the property, but quickly returned to the reception with charged glasses ready to celebrate the biggest day of their lives.

Congratulations Ben and Shannon, we are so happy for you both!

Before exchanging vows, Erica shared a heartfelt first look with her bridesmaids as well as her Dad, Gordon, and brother. The couples ceremony spoke of love and commitment before all else. Once married, they set off for afternoon portraits with their bridal party.

At the reception, Jared and Erica celebrated with their friends and family, they enjoyed delicious food, heard meaningful toasts, cut their gorgeous cake and danced the night away.

They had stunning florals by Flowers on the Mill and delicious food by Flavours of the Valley. The whole day felt like a retreat escape that had love as the focus.

Aaron and Tamika's Wedding

A rust colour palette, a tranquil botanical garden location, and native floral arrangements—every element of this dreamy celebration is both simple and beautiful. When starting their planning process, Aaron and Tamika knew that they wanted their dream ceremony to be the main event which is why they chose the Botanical Gardens in Jervis Bay to tie the knot.

Once married, they joined their guests at The Butter Factory for a fun-filled reception. This unique venue provided the perfect space to celebrate with stunning views of the surrounding grazing land.

From the sweetest first look with the bride’s father and bridesmaids to the candid in-between moments, I tried my best to capture all the emotions as they unfolded. If you love the idea of an outdoor wedding, surrounded by lush foliage and florals, this is one enchanting celebration that you don’t want to miss.

Family Session at Cudmirrah

Today I am sharing some highlights from my recent session with this adorable family of three. These photos were taken in the afternoon at Cudmirrah, one of the coastal towns on the south coast in Sussex Inlet. As a lifestyle photographer it’s great to have the opportunity to photograph clients who share the love of story telling through photography. It’s also nice to give mum photographers the chance to be in front of the camera.

Mark and Hayley's Wedding

Mark and Hayley’s traditional romantic wedding at the Union Church in Meroo Meadow is every bit as heartfelt and wholesome as it is beautiful. They had a gorgeous first look which took place on a private property in Berry, NSW and was followed by a portrait session before making their way to the ceremony. Once married, they joined their guests for the reception which was held in a nearby barn that overlooked the country landscape. I felt honoured to celebrate with these two happy newlyweds and I was made feel so welcome by their families who hosted with such warm hospitality.

Congratulations Mark and Hayley, enjoy your wedding highlights!

Oliver and Catrin's Wedding at The Woods Farm

After getting inspired by an elegant chapel surrounded by Australian bushland, Catrin and Oliver decided to tie the knot at The Woods Farm. Little did they know, that two months after booking their 2020 wedding the world would go into lockdown thanks to a global pandemic.

Two years on, they were finally able to have the wedding of their dreams. They said “I do” surrounded by nature and beneath the opulent chandeliers in the chapel.

A gorgeous barn, country cottages, stunning arrangements of florals, and a beautiful wedding dress — the couple had a very specific vision for their big day. With the help of florist Papillon De Fleur their vision was brought to life.

If the thought of an elegant country wedding appeals to you, then you need to see the highlights from this Jervis Bay wedding.

Aaron and Katie's Coolangatta Estate Wedding

On Friday the 6th of May Aaron and Katie held their unforgettable wedding at Coolangatta Estate, an idyllic country venue located on the south coast of NSW. Katie arrived to the vineyard in a Kombi van ready to become Mrs Jones. They locked eyes for the first time in the gardens at the end of the aisle. The marriage was officiated by Merinda Richardson who took the couples friends and family on a trip down memory lane, which set the mood for a lovely romantic day. Once married Aaron and Katie joined Dane and Dion for some afternoon portraits as the sun set across the sweeping mountains which created the most epic golden hour. The newlyweds held their reception inside the winery and it was a night full of memorable speeches, charged glasses and lots of dancing.
